Our Design Process
Step One: Discussion & Planning
We will begin by talking about what you need through email, phone or live chat. These options can be found on our contact page. You tell us EVERYTHING you want us to know: colors, style, rough image size (pixels or inches), etc. If you are not 100% sure of your design idea, we will gladly help you come up with something great. For example, if you do not know what colors you want, we will offer some choices that we feel work best.
**You deposit 50% of the negotiated price for your cartoon illustration before step 2. This can be done through paypal or by credit card.

Step Two: The Sketch
We will draw up a great sketch for you, which can be revised to fit your needs. The sketch will serve as a guideline for the digital rendering.

Step Three: Digital Inking
At this point we have agreed upon a sketch and we proceed to scan that sketch into the computer. From here, we digitally ink the design line by line in Adobe Photoshop. The result is a crisp outline with expressive line quality.

Step Four: Colors And/Or Shading
Here is when you choose which colors you want in your design. We will send you a picture of your design outline and you decide which colors work for you. If you don't know which colors to choose, we will pick the best ones for you.
Color is optional.
Shading, shadows and lighting effects are optional as well.

Step Five: File Transfer
Your custom design is complete! Now it's time for us to transfer the files over to you. All you have to do is pay the remaining 50% of the cost and we will send you the necessary file formats for print and web.
